The road runs through Nachu & Karai Wards and connects two major roads; TheThogoto-Mutarakwa Road and Kikuyu-Ondiri-Kamangu Road.

The road serves highly residential areas and provides access to public facilities such as Lusigetti Level IV Hospital, Lusigetti Market, Njumbì and Kanyiha Comprehensive Schools and Karai Mixed and Lusigetti Senior Secondary Schools. It has also significantly reduced travel time to Kikuyu and other surrounding towns and eased traffic pressure on the two major roads it connects.

The project is 85% complete with protection works currently ongoing.
