FROM TRADITIONAL CHALKBOARDS TO DYNAMIC DIGITAL ENVIRONMENTS FOR COMPETENCY-BASED LEARNING
The continued integration of technology into our classrooms and curriculum is imperative to equip our learners with skills that prepare them for 21st century careers. Technology is transforming the ways our teachers develop lesson plans, present instructional materials and set and administer assessments to students. This enhances student engagement and participation, supports collaboration and offers personalized learning experiences for improved outcomes.
LeaderHub smart boards incorporate robust features that facilitate seamless interactive learning. They integrate learning management systems, instructional, brainstorming, collaboration and assessment tools, and access to vast and diverse online educational repositories. They allow teachers to write, highlight, annotate and draw educational material, present pre-loaded slides and explore web pages. Their screen mirroring technology enables students to present assignments and collaborate in classwork related activities.
The Government of Kenya, under the Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project (KDEAP), is equipping our junior schools with these smartboards, teacher laptops and wireless projectors to enhance learning and augment the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework. This infrastructure is a strategic investment in human capital, digital skills and the future prosperity of our children.
